Nursing Internships & Externships

Typically, students starting their Junior I or Junior II experiences should/may start to consider summer Internship/Externship. 

You may consider Internship and Externship words as interchangable. Some organizations will use the term intern and some will use extern. 

 

Many organizations begin accepting applications for internship/externship in the fall for summer experiences. Some may not begin accpting applications until early winter, so you will need to do your research and keep an eye on the opportunities you are targeting.
